Attachment, Regulation, Competency and Community Foster CareBe The Reason A Child Succeeds!
Child & Family’s foster care program is built upon ARC Plus Attachment, Self-Regulation, Competency & Community. ARC is an evidence-informed model of treatment for children, youth and families who have experienced multiple and/or prolonged traumatic stress.
Predicated on a philosophy of individualized, unconditional care to support children and families along all phases of the continuum, ARC is individually centered, family-focused, strengths-based and culturally competent. The program’s family-centered approach ensures that children’s safety, permanency, and well-being are properly addressed through services that engage, involve, strengthen, and support families.
The ARC program presumes that all children and youth in treatment settings have likely been exposed to abuse, neglect, persistently overwhelming stress, or other traumatic experiences. ARC Plus model is a framework for intervention with complexly traumatized children and youth focusing on four core domains relevant to future resiliency.
